Yep that’s right, our precious paper must go under the iron!
for the same reason we iron out the fabric to get it to lay flat for the best cut, so too must we iron the pattern pieces. I find that the older the pattern the more it appreciates the warmth to help it relax.
so there the way: with your iron on it’s lowest setting with absolutely no steam, gently iron the paper. it won’t become perfectly flat, but you’ll notice that the paper will rest better on the fabric and be more true to size.
just remember – no steam!
