This pattern will always be special to me, it’s the first 1930′s pattern I’d ever bought, and it took me a long time to put together.

The pattern wasn’t such a complicated one in retrospect, but it was my first pattern with the short list of instructions – those that assume you know what your doing, but I also took my time because I really wanted this to come out really well.

Thankfully the pattern came out great! and I was able to wear it to the Saratoga Race Track during a visit there. I got a lot of looks ;)

that pattern is made of white and yellow (kind of a creamy muted sunshine color) pique, with white pique belt and vintage yellow belt buckle.

for the pockets, i did the upper edges in yellow, and the lower pocket section in white, so the pocket colors were opposite the dress colors underneath – you can kind get a peek of it on the left side.

This fabric is perfect for those hot summer days and I love it! but my only tip here is that this fabric loves to ravel, so bind those edges!
