Custom work really can be where the fun is. While I’ll always enjoy making clothing from vintage patterns for myself, it can be really exciting to make items for others.

All my custom work is handmade to your measurements and needs.

the custom clothing process starts with a conversation about what you’re looking for – this can include if the item is for a special occasion or not, your favorite colors, material preferences and anything else that needs to be discussed.

Then we’ll go over how to take your measurements, if you live close to me I’d suggest a meeting so I can get you’re measurements first hand, but if not I’ll walk you through the process.

next I’ll be making a muslin version of the final pattern, which will be sent to you. the purpose of this is to test the measurements that i have, and gives us a chance to discover anything that needs to be addressed before the item is cut in final fabric.

lastly final fabric is cut based on measurements and corrections and sent.

it’s a lot of work but it’s always worth it!
